The Flash (2014) concept art by Andy Poon |
The CW The Flash show has been a big hit and has been renewed for a second season.
*** SPOILER ALERT ***
Recently, the identity of the "Reverse-Flash" was confirmed as Harrison Wells. Actor Tom Cavanagh said that the costume was important to him. "I benefited from all the trial and error that went into that. … I think they did a marvelous job with the suit," he told Access Hollywood. "I'm always very flattered and honored to put it on." One of the concept designers on the show, Andy Poon, recently shared his designs on his blog.
Poon is a professional concept artist who's worked on television shows like Arrow, Smallville, and Slugterra.
"After the mid season finale, The Flash came back with a mind blowing episode that not only introduces the beginning of time traveling, but also revealed Harrison Well's true identity as Eobard Thawne from the future. We finally get to see Wells in the actual Reverse Flash suit. So here are 2 concepts of the Reverse Flash suits that are pretty close to the final suit in the show. The suit in the show ended up having a bit less dark grey armor than the concepts. It was pretty exciting that I got to illustrate the Reverse Flash, and I knew that it is Harrison Wells who is in the suit but I had no idea what his true identity was and the whole back story." - Andy Poon
