Minority Report (2002) concept art by Mark Goerner |
There's a lot of technology in Minorty Report that we're still waiting for, like flying cars, but there's one that's right around the corner: the Spider Robots. In the movie the police send Spider Robots to search the apartments for John Anderson (Tom Cruise). Today, the military is developing spider-like micro robotsfor reconaissance and remote sensing. We're living in the future! The design of the robots in Minority Report went through many changes and one of the artists working on the film was Mark Goerner. Goerner is a professional concept artist who's worked on Hollywood projects like X2 (2002), Thor (2011) and the unfilmed Superman Lives.
