James Cameron's Avatar(2009) is a brilliant film and became the first movie to gross more than $2 billion. It was nominated for nine Academy Awards in 2009, but won three (Best Art Direction, Best Cinematography, Best Visual Effects) because of it's stunning visuals. One of the many artists that helped bring Cameron's vision to life is Ryan Church.
Church is a professional concept artist who's worked on blockbuster films like Star Trek (2009), Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sithand Transformers Dark of the Moon and he posted samples of his stunning concept art for the film his site http://ryanchurch.com. He also included concept art from the deleted prologue showing life on Earth.
